Respironics has improved on old technology when making the ComfortGel Blue Nasal Mask. Users can see improvements on parts like the gel cushion and forehead pad design. While improving on old technology, Respironics included new technology like an angled elbow and exhalation micro ports to reduce sound.

- Premium Forehead Pad: The ComfortGel forehead pad is larger with more cushions, which means it is more comfortable and easier to fit.
- Angled Exhalation Micro Ports: Respironics decreased the overall size of the port, allowing several micro ports to fit on the elbow allowing the mask to be quieter.
